Greenprint vs. Planta: which fits your plant routine?
Both apps help you care for houseplants. The useful question is which approach fits what you want to do next: plan where plants go, or organize their ongoing care.
This comparison is written by Greenprint, not an independent reviewer. Planta’s features below come from its official website and help center, checked September 28, 2026. We have not performed a side-by-side accuracy test.

When Greenprint may fit
If your starting question is “Where should this plant go?”, Greenprint’s room planner and Light Sim let you explore placement and changing sunlight. These are Pro features. The simulation is a model based on your setup, not a light-sensor measurement, and it cannot account perfectly for every obstruction or condition.
You can also track care and propagation without making room planning your whole routine. See the current Free and Pro comparison for what is included and the applicable allowances.
When Planta may fit
If you want care reminders as your starting point, compare Planta’s personalized schedule with the routine you already follow. Its advertised Care Share feature may also be useful if someone else helps look after your plants. iPhone users can try Planta now; Greenprint’s iPhone version is not yet available.
Compare the price at checkout
Greenprint’s US Pro pricing is $4.99 per month or $47.99 per year. Optional AI credit packs are separate purchases, not subscriptions. Local pricing and applicable taxes are shown in Google Play.
Planta’s help center directs users to the app for current Premium prices. We have not verified a comparable local checkout price, so this page does not claim that either app is cheaper.
Keep observing your plants
A reminder is a cue to check the pot, not proof that it needs water. AI identification and health suggestions can be wrong. Verify plant toxicity with a reliable reference, and contact a veterinarian if you suspect a pet has eaten something harmful.
