Greenprint Terms of Service
Last updated: July 25, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Desert Garden Plants LLC ("Desert Garden Plants," "we," "us"), doing business as Greenprint, for use of the Greenprint app. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you accept them. If you don't accept them, don't use the app.
Questions: DesertGardenPlants@gmail.com
1. Who can use Greenprint
You must be at least 13 years old. If you're between 13 and 18, review these terms with a parent or guardian. Greenprint is for personal, non-commercial use.
2. Your account
Most of the app works without an account. Signing in with Google adds cloud backup and the community features.
You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using it. Don't share your account, impersonate anyone, or create an account on someone else's behalf without their permission.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. What that removes is described in our Privacy Policy.
3. What Greenprint does — and doesn't — promise
Greenprint helps you track plant care, plan where plants go based on sunlight, and identify or diagnose plants from photos. It is a planning and record-keeping tool, not an authority.
Plant identification and health diagnosis can be wrong. They are generated by AI from photographs and are informational only. Do not use them as the basis for any decision where being wrong would matter.
Never rely on Greenprint to decide whether a plant is safe. Toxicity information in the app is general reference material and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong for a particular species, cultivar, or animal. If a child or animal has eaten or touched a plant, contact a poison control center or a veterinarian immediately — do not consult this app instead.
Sunlight modelling is an estimate based on the location and room details you provide. Real conditions vary with weather, obstructions, and seasons.
4. Free accounts, limits, and ads
The free tier includes a cap on the number of plants you can track and monthly limits on AI features. Free accounts also see advertising, supplied by Google AdMob. We may adjust these limits as the app changes.
5. Greenprint Pro subscriptions
Pro is an optional paid subscription sold through Google Play:
- Monthly — $4.99 per month
- Annual — $47.99 per year
Prices are in US dollars and may differ in your local currency or with tax.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Google Play account is charged at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal.
Cancelling. Cancel any time in Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds. Purchases are processed by Google Play and refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy. We do not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly. Contact Google Play support, and tell us as well if something went wrong on our end.
Price changes. If we change the price, we'll give notice before it takes effect, and you'll have the chance to cancel. Continuing after that is acceptance of the new price.
If your Pro period lapses, Pro-only features stop. Your data stays; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to previously backed-up photos.
6. Community content
The community feed and direct messages are for plant talk. When you post, you agree not to:
- Post abusive, harassing, threatening, or hateful content
- Post nudity, graphic violence, or sexually explicit material
- Impersonate another person or organization
- Spam, advertise, or send unsolicited commercial messages
- Post content that infringes someone else's rights
- Post other people's personal information
- Give medical, veterinary, or safety advice presented as professional advice
Anything you post to the feed is visible to every signed-in Greenprint user. We may remove content and suspend or ban accounts that break these rules, and we may do so without notice where the content is harmful.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and distribute it solely to operate the app — showing your post in the feed, backing up your photos, and so on. That licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already distributed to other users and the storage limits described in our Privacy Policy.
You confirm you have the right to post what you post.
Anonymous horticultural facts you contribute to the shared species database — names, light and water needs, mature size — may be retained and used to improve the app for everyone. This contains no personal information.
8. Copyright complaints
If you believe content in the app infringes your copyright, email DesertGardenPlants@gmail.com with: the work concerned, where the infringing content appears in the app, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized. We'll review and remove infringing content, and we may terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe.
9. Shopping links
Suggestion and wishlist screens may link to retailers. Some of those links are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy — at no extra cost to you. This is disclosed in the app at the point where the links appear.
We do not sell plants. We are not a party to any purchase you make, we don't control retailer pricing, stock, shipping, or plant quality, and we have no responsibility for those transactions. Any dispute about a purchase is between you and the retailer.
10. Third-party services
Greenprint depends on services we don't control, including Google (sign-in, database, maps, advertising, payments), Anthropic, Cloudinary, and RevenueCat. Their availability and their own terms affect the app. We're not responsible for their acts or omissions.
11. Our intellectual property
The app — its code, design, artwork, mascot characters, and original text — belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property law. Don't copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute any part of it without our written permission. These terms grant you a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the app, nothing more.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely and without obligation to you.
12. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the app. Specifically, don't: attempt to bypass usage limits, quotas, or payment; access the app by automated means or scrape it; interfere with its operation or security; attempt to access other users' data; or use it for anything unlawful.
13. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Greenprint at any time and delete your account from Settings.
We may suspend or terminate access if you break these terms, if we're required to by law, or if we discontinue the app. Where practical we'll give notice. If we discontinue the app entirely, we'll give reasonable notice so you can export or record your data.
Sections that by their nature should outlast termination — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — survive.
14. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that its information — including plant identification, health diagnosis, toxicity data, and light estimates — will be accurate or complete.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or damage to or loss of plants, property, or animals, arising from your use of or inability to use the app — even if we've been advised such damages were possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) twenty US dollars.
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the app, your content, or your breach of these terms.
17. Changes
We may change the app and these terms. When we change the terms we'll update the "Last updated" date, and for material changes we'll give notice in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Greenprint after that means you accept the change. If you don't accept it, stop using the app and delete your account.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court with jurisdiction.
Nothing here removes any consumer-protection right you have under the mandatory law of your own country or state.
19. General
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them to a successor if the business is sold, on notice to you. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the app.
20. Contact
Email: DesertGardenPlants@gmail.com Website: https://greenprint.app Operated by: Desert Garden Plants LLC, a Nevada limited liability company Mailing address: 732 S 6th St, Ste N, Las Vegas, NV 89101, US
Notes for the operator (not part of the published terms)
- Entity name — resolved. The registered entity is Desert Garden Plants LLC (Nevada), doing business as Greenprint — "Greenprint LLC" was unavailable, so the app keeps its name and the LLC took the available name instead. Applied here, in `docs/legal/privacy-policy.md`, `app/terms.jsx`, `app/privacy.jsx`, and the published site page/footer. If Desert Garden Plants LLC ever takes payments, signs contracts, or opens accounts under the name "Greenprint" itself (not just as an app label), file a Nevada Fictitious Firm Name Certificate at the Clark County Clerk first.
- No arbitration clause, deliberately. Section 18 sends disputes to Nevada courts instead. An arbitration and class-action-waiver clause is the single clause here most worth an attorney's review before adding — it changes users' rights materially and is enforced unevenly by state.
- Liability cap is set at the greater of twelve months' fees or $20. Worth confirming with counsel alongside the arbitration question.
- Subscription prices must match the Play Console products (`pro_monthly` $4.99, `pro_annual` $47.99). If either changes in Play, change it here in the same session.
