Greenprint Account Deletion

Last updated: July 25, 2026

You can request deletion of your Greenprint account and its data at any time, whether or not you still have the app installed.

Two ways to delete

In the app. Open Settings and choose Delete account. You will be asked to confirm twice, and the deletion happens immediately.

By email. Write to DesertGardenPlants@gmail.com from the address associated with your account, with the subject "Delete my account." We will complete the deletion within 30 days and confirm by reply.

What gets deleted

Because a message thread cannot exist one-sided, deleting your account also removes those conversations for the other participant.

What may remain

Images already uploaded to our media host — community post images, profile pictures, and subscriber photo backups — may persist in that provider's storage after deletion, because of a technical limitation in how the app uploads them. They are removed from the app and are no longer linked to your account or discoverable through it. Email us and we will delete them manually.

Anonymous species information you contributed to our shared plant database — scientific names, light and water needs, and similar horticultural facts — remains in that database. It contains no personal information and is not linked to you.

Crash reports are retained by our diagnostics provider for up to 90 days.

Information we are required to keep for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes is retained for as long as applicable law requires.
